Salman Khan has been dominating screens and fans’ hearts for decades now. Much like his professional life, Bhai fans also take interest in the star’s personal life. Especially, Salman’s marriage has often been the topic of discussion. While the actor has been in relationships with Katrina Kaif and Sangeeta Bijlani among others, he never tied the knot. In a recent interview, Salman’s father, veteran filmmaker Salim Khan opined on his son’s love life. Salim Khan stated that the ‘Dabangg’ star’s unrealistic expectations are the reason he hasn’t tied the knot.

In a previous conversation with Komal Nahta, Salim Khan weighed in on why the actor hasn’t exchanged vows. Salim Khan said, “Salman ka pata nahi kya hai… Salman ki ek toh is wajah se bhi shaadi nahi hoti hai ki thoda sa contradiction bhi hai Salman ki thinking main. (There is a contradiction in Salman’s thinking. This is one of the reasons why he’s not married).”

Elaborating, he said, “Salman ka lagao ya mohabbat…he’s attracted to the person jiske saath kaam karte hain. They are very exciting, good-looking people. Interaction hota hai kaam karte karte. People come close because voh close atmosphere main rehte hain. Toh 90 per cent of the time jo uss film ki heroine hi hoti hai voh. (Salman is mostly attracted to the heroines he works with as they work in a close atmosphere and are good-looking people).”

The filmmaker also added that after Salman Khan enters a relationship, he seeks his mother’s qualities in the woman. The actor expects the career-oriented woman to give up her work and stay at home. Salim Khan iterated that it is wrong for the actor to expect this. Moreover, he revealed that Salman tries to convert the woman after commitment, which again has problems.

“Why should one deprive her ki main shaadi karke ghar baitha doonga? Uska vahi hota hai. Jab commitment ho jaata hai toh voh usko convert karne ki koshish karta hai, usme apni maa dhoondta hai. Voh toh possible nahi hai. (After commitment, he tries to convert them and looks for his mother in them. That is not possible).”

Meanwhile, on the work front, Salman is busy working on Sajid Nadiadwala’s ‘Sikandar’ with Rashmika Mandanna.
